So, this summer was a wild ride. I sold two novellas. Two. I am an author, yo.
There is something really exhilarating about writing something that you have a pretty good idea will be published, rather than writing on the hope. I’m glad i get to experience that.
So here’s what I have on my plate right now:
1. I need to finish my full-length work-in-progress. I’m 40,000 words in, maybe 50,000 to go.
2. I have a longer book planned for Pink Petal Books. A stand-alone sequel to Keeper, which will be out in October. It’s in the planning stages, but full fleshed out.
3. I also have a sequel to Ena’s Fire planned. It’s not as far along in the planning stage as Keeper’s sequel.
So, lucky for me, teacher’s don’t normally get sick until mid-September. And the poker business is still hopping until it gets cold in October, so I don’t need to work as a substitute too much until then. Right now I can be a writer. Oodalalee!
What about you? What does your plate look like today?
I am so proud of you!!!
On my plate? Hmmm> FIND A JOB. (two in the works, hoping to land one in the next week or so.) Move into my own place.
THEN – go through Ripping off the Bandaid and do a first pass edit on it. Finish writing the book proposal. Take out my screenplay and do a polish on that and send it back to Hollywood on a wing and a prayer. Map out the rest of Cold Feet– I know where its going overall, need to do a detailed outline. Take my short story Ticklish and write a short film script and go about the process of trying to shoot that as a 15-20 minute short film and submit it to festivals.
So yeah, a little bit on my plate. Not to mention proposals I am wriitng for blogging gigs.
First- A Job. Then – An apartment and dog. Then – I tackle it all full steam ahead.
Love you!
